Those summer peaches.

Every summer when peach season rolls around and the cute peaches from the Okanagan arrive here on Vancouver Island, I'm always inspired to do a fun peach themed summery shoot. I saw a pair of rattan earrings that Gemma from Clover & Coast created, and I knew I wanted to plan a styled shoot with peaches and rattan as the theme. With the creative contributions of other local artisans and vendors, I think we dreamed up a pretty peachy styled elopement! Enjoy the photos below! (Looks best on your desktop)

The Details

There are so many talented people here on the Island! When putting together this shoot, we reached out to a bunch of wonderful wedding vendors and creatives here on Vancouver Island. We love keeping our styled shoots with all local details and vendors! We have gathered up quite the list of amazing people to work with over the years, and the creative people below all come highly recommended by us!

Puska Properties is the location of this shoot. They have a beautiful spot in Yellow Point, and host different types of events, including a little petting farm called Itty Bitty Acres. I would recommend you get in touch with them if you are interested in learning more. They are a wonderful couple to work with, and a gorgeous property!

The decor we used for this shoot is from Darling Vintage Rentals. Jen has many beautiful decor items in her collection, including the wooden and rattan chairs, matte black cutlery, grey linen napkins, woven chargers, matte white plates, woven poufs, rug, vases, and side tables. Darling Vintage Rentals is a favorite here on the Island for weddings and events, so I would suggest getting in contact with her soon if you are interested in her decor as part of your event!

The earrings worn in this shoot were actually one of my inspiration pieces for this elopement! I'm so happy to have them as part of it! Gemma from Clover & Coast makes gorgeous earrings right in Ladysmith! From clay to rattan styles- you'll find a unique piece of jewelry to add to your collection. Gemma and her husband Matt were also kind enough to be our model Bride and Groom for the evening! We couldn't have found a more perfect couple to do this with. You guys are so sweet, thank you!

We had a pretty specific idea for the Bride's hair, and Jen was able to make those ideas come to life perfectly! Jessica Pool did the beautiful makeup and created a summery, fresh look which was absolutely perfect.

All of the flowers were grown and arranged by Kim of Wildflowers Farm. Kim is also one of the photographers with Three Sisters Photography! Kim grew each and every flower we used for the shoot, which is so amazing. Kim loves to create custom bouquets by request, just send her a message! If you'd like to see what she is up to on her flower farm, check her Instagram account, linked below.

The cake was created by Allison from July's Girl Cake Company in Victoria. She was amazing to work with, and was so flexible with our ideas. One of her unique styles is this paint stroke style, which we absolutely love! The colors matched exactly for the whole shoot, and the cake was the perfect addition.

The stationary was created by Morgan from Things by Mo. She does beautiful watercolor painting, cards, stickers and wedding stationary out of Nanaimo. She was so great about meeting our vision and using her own style to bring it all together. We loved the unique art card that was part of the stationary, as well as the vow cards for the elopement.

The wooden plates used for each place setting, were handmade by a talented woodworker here in the Cowichan Valley- Miller and Co Wood Studio. We also used their large wooden bowl and charcuterie board in this shoot. Devin and his wife Jen have a studio on Koksilah road with wood pieces, pottery and a flower farm. The beautiful pottery vase on the cocktail cart in this shoot was made by Jen of Miller and Co. Pottery. I highly recommend you check out their lovely studio where they sell many beautiful pottery and wooden pieces. Christmas is coming people!

A few extra decor items were rented out from Partymood here in Duncan. The harvest table, cake plate, terracotta bud vases and stemware. We were grateful to their last minute accommodation for these items.
