The feels.

This styled shoot was inspired by the historical feel of the venue at Keating Farm. As soon as you walk into the door of the farmhouse, you can feel the history right away. This shoot took place in the dining hall which has a large fireplace, tall ceilings and walls covered in warm, rich wood. This farmhouse has just been recently restored back to its original beauty from when it was built in the 1800's. It's easy to imagine the types of parties and entertaining this grand estate was meant for! The tablescape was decorated to inspire a classic celebration, overflowing with fresh fruits, decadent cakes and sweet cocktails. The plum colored design on the china plates were the perfect addition to accompany the linens, gold cutlery and flower arrangements.

The vintage dress was sourced from a local thrift shop and altered to have romantic layers and pearl embellishments which highlighted the historic feel of Keating Farm. Jessica Pool completed the model's look with soft and classic hair and makeup. Our model, Mariah Mohat, was adorned by beautifully made, local jewelry handcrafted by Claire Crowfoot. A locally foraged mantel install with the warm light coming from the fireplace and candles completed the charm of this dining hall.

The flowers.

The bouquet boasts both the timeless beauty of Carnations and Lisianthus, as well as subtly hinting at the modern age by including the current trend of Pampas Grass and silk ribbons. The long style of centerpiece used on the table, highlight the beauty of its surroundings while keeping a low profile without overwhelming the space. As Virginia from WildFloret is an eco-friendly florist and farmer, her concern lies in the sustainable practice of floristry. All of her arrangements, installs and bouquets are foam free, which means they are all recyclable and compostable.
